gen3 door lock question

well, my drivers door lock periodically won't lock......i slammed the door once out of anger and it started locking for about a day, then it quit locking (by locking i mean the automatic lock, i can still manually lock it)

my guess is that the solenoid for the door lock has a loose wire or something, so my question is, how do i remove the door panel to look at it....i don't want to just try and rip it off cause i'll break something....

so anyone help?

thanks alot
alex

1. Remove 2 panel pins along the back edge of the door panel
2. Remove the 2 screw covers along the edge of door panel and remove exposed screws
3. Remove screws along bottom edge of door panel
4. Inside side pocket, remove screw cover and remove exposed screw
5. Remove screw from under arm rest
6. Gently pry triangular panel from top of door panel starting at top edge of panel
7. Gently pry control panel up, disconnect connector
8. Gently pry at top edge of insert around door lock/open controls to release latch
9. Gently pry at bottom edge of insert around door lock/open controls up to release latch
10. Hold door open handle out to release insert from door panel
11. Gently pry tweeter speaker cover from door panel, remove exposed screw (Only if you have stock tweeters)
12. Remove door panel from door by starting at bottom of panel and work up both sides
13. Lift door panel up out of window sill
14. Disconnect Connectors

Hope this helps! Looks like alot but is really easy, I can do it in 2 minutes. Got this off of www.carsterohelp.com. If you need pictures go there and look for your car and the link on how to install front speakers, I think you have to pay now...pretty gay.
