I don't know how many of you browse through the Buying/Selling forum, so I decided to post here. Sorry mods if posting this here is against rules, I just thought it would get a little more attention in a truck/suv forum. Thanks.
1996 Toyota LandCruiser
I am selling this vehicle for my dad. We have owned it the past 5 years in during which my
dad has taken great care of it. Oil has been changed every 2500-3000 miles or every 3
months since we got it.
Exterior
Dark Grey
No major dings, dents, or scratches
Normal minor scratches from use and blemish that we touched up on the rear liftgate.
Roofrack for luggage
Hoodspoiler to prevent rocks on hood-Has some paint rubbage underneath it.
Rear-windhshield spoiler, rear wiper, 3rd breaklight
Power assisted four wheel anti-lock disc breaks.
We have had the pads replaced but we think that a rotor(s) needs to be replaced due to
warpage. The vehicle stops fine, it’s just that it “pulses”.
Hitch
Towing Package of 5000lbs.
This past winter, we had a car-hauler and picked up my MR2 in snowy/wet conditions.
The 3 hour drive was reliable and predictable even with the breaks pulsing.
16” Toyota Alloys w/ 275/70/R16 all season tires with a lot of tread/grip left.
Vehicle is equipped with Toyota’s VIP alarm.
The only signs of rust is on the undercarriage. It is minimal, as we have sprayed
undercoating before every winter.
This vehicle looks very exceptional and is honestly in good condition.
Interior
7 seating capacity
Gray Leather seats, steering wheel, door inserts. Driver/passenger seats have crack, but no
tears. Rest of seats are in good condition.
Driver/Passenger airbags
Power: locks, windows, front seats, mirrors, steering, and sunroof/moonroof that slides up
or open (with interior blinder).
Cruise
A/C, heat, rear leg heater, rear windshield defroster
Intermittent wipers, rear wiper, rear windshield spoiler
Factory tinted glass
3-in-1 CD/Cassette/AmFm 8 speaker stereo
2 middle consoles
Rear seats option, can be lifted up for cargo room or taken out.
Lighted mirror visors w/ extension
Adgustable seatbelts
The interior of this vehicle is very comfortable, spacious, and ergonomical. It has no
cracks on the dash, and everything is exceptionally clean.
Engine & Transmission
1FZ-FE 4.5 Liter 24 Valve DOHC Inline/Straight Six 212 hp/ 275 lbs. of torque.
5000 lbs. towing package. 10” ground clearance and 9” of rear suspension travel.
4Speed Automatic with the normal H/N/L transfer case.
Everything on the car is stock. Engine and transmission run great. It has been in storage
the last 5 weeks and I start it up everyweek. Everytime I do, idle always quickly rests on
the normal 800-900 rpm, even after a week. Transmission shifts very smoothly.
The current mileage on the engine is 81,615 miles. We have never taken this vehicle
off-roading, but it did get us through some rough Michigan winters and roads, and I as I
said, it was very stable when we were towing the hauler w/ the car on it in snowy
conditions. We recenlty changed the engine oil and transmission fluid for upkeep before
storage. We placed it in storage due to it’s insurance cost, and the fact that we now use a
van for main family driving/travel. Most upkeep and care since we bought it has been done
by my dad. We have had no problems with the engine/transmission. The only thing we
have replaced was a rear quarter panel window that shattered when a rock from a nearby
weedwacker hit it. We had it professionally replaced with factory Toyota glass and is a
100% match. We have not abused or neglected this vehicle. In fact, we are Toyota
enthusiasts and can proudly say that this LandCruiser is one of our 8 Toyotas we have
owned and taken care of. We hate to see it go, so we would like to sell it to someone who
will take as much care, if not more than we did. We are asking for $15,500. We will
consider serious offers. If you would like to run a carfax report, e-mail me and I will send
you the VIN. I am selling this for him because he is very busy. Any questions can be
e-mailed to
CelicaT29@hotmail.com or call my cell phone at 1.269.369.6317 between
9am-12am. If I cannot be reached, please leave a message and I will reply as soon as I can.
I have pictures upon request through e-mail. We are located in Saint Joseph Michigan, 1.5
hours north of Chicago, 45 minutes west of Kalamazoo Michigan, 3 hours west of
Detroit, 45 minutes northwest of SouthBend Indiana, or 1.5 hours south of Grand Rapids
Michigan. We will be willing to travel up to 2 hours if the vehicle is being purchased. If
you know of anyone that might be interested, please spread the word!
Thank You
