Tires and lift help needed

Hi all, I've never posted anything before, but I'm looking for some advice. I would like to make my 87 pickup (2wd, long bed) look a little meaner. I'm giving it a new paintjob, but it sits a little low on the 195/75R14s I have. Are there larger tires I can put on the factory rims? I would like to keep my costs down, so keeping the factory rims is one way of doing it. Also, should I consider lifting it a few inches? What kit would you recommend?
Thanks for the help!

as far as the tires go.....

check out used tire shops in your area, (look in a phone book...) they're usually pretty knowledgeable when it comes to throwing on bigger tires. plus you'll save a ton of money on rubber. you can get tires with 80%tread for dirt cheap! (I used to work at one)

just my 2 cents take it for what its worth...
