Transmission and transfer case help

I just bought a transmission and transfer case to replace the ones of mine that went to shiat. They are for a 22R carburated out of an 82. I need to know if there is supposed to be a gasket that goes between the transmission and the transfer case. I am not sure if there is one as I have never take the two pieces apart. Please let me know asap. If I do need one does anyone have one for sale or know where I could get one as Westbay, Shucks, Autozone and Napa had no idea if that part even existed let alone had one I could buy. THanks a lot for the help-Sampson

The '85 shop manual seems to indicate a gasket is required there. If you can't find a new one, you can get gasket material and make your own. A tube of silicone gasket material might be adequate, too. Good luck.
