1992 4 cyl fuel leak

My 92 pickup recently started leaking fuel from near the tank. I'm worthless with vehicles, so my dad came down and we changed the rubber fuel lines on it. One of those was leaking pretty bad, so that stopped most of the problem.

It still leaks however and he said that there is a steel line coming out of the tank and it is what is leaking now. I've been led to believe that to replace this line you need to replace the fuel pump...

Anyone have any insight into this?

thanks

Fuel leak

No. The only thing you need replace is the fuel pump bracket. Seperate from the fuel pump it has steel lines that feed the pump and extend out from the top. These steel lines often (because of their location) rot or become corroded. As long as your pump is pumping, there is no need to replace it. Also, this is a dealer item and has to be ordered though your local Toyota dealer. You can not get it through your local autoparts dealer.
I just went through the same exact ordeal...
