Transmission Help Please!

I have an 85 toyota that i recieved for Christmas. In may fifth gear went out. It doesn't exactly grind when i put it in gear until I let off the clutch. The it grinds and wines very loudly. My dad put a spacer in when he bought the truck, could that have gone out? Since then my other gears are grinding every once in a while and I have slack in my shifter. Does it sound fixable or not? If it doesn't sound fixable, my next problem is finding a transmission, because I have a Gstyle 4-cylinder, and I was told that they are hard to find. Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

you can take it to a tranny shop they can rebuild it for a grad or so.here a 4 speed i found on ebay

hope that helps ya. and the g style is relating to your tranny. your engine is one of the 22r series just look at the block and it should say.

Thanks for yout input. The only thing is, if I have broke something important. The only problem is the parts are expensive, and the transmission isn't worth the cost to fix it. Thanks, and i'll keep looking.

you can take it around town and see how much shops would want to rebuild the tranny and what not if anything you can order the rebuild core and have them install it for about 300 or so labor and then ship back your old core. you can always try a junk yard for a tranny they are rahter plentiful around the world.
