timing belt quesiton

Im sorry about this, but can someone please tell me where to locate my timing belt. I have a 97 4cylinder tacoma. A belt of mine broke and im trying to figure out if its my timing belt or not. Its the belt that goes from my crankshaft to my alternator. Thanks.

no sir. the timing belt is under the timing belt cover ... it would be easy if you had the repaire manual to see how it get to it. if your timming belt broke your engine wouldnt run at all or start when jumped. so you have diffrent belts for the alternator.
