Does anyone know what connector you need to jumper to manually turn on the fuel pump for a '86 4runner? On know it is on the engine compartment on the drivers side but there are several connectors there. Round or square? 2,3 or 4 prong? Wire colors? Any info would be appreciated.
I suspect pressure dropping off in the fuel rail after it sits for a while. Plan on attacking the problem in the morning.
Could just turn the key to run position? That should bring the pressure up, anyway. I don't have any idea what to jump.

The fuel pump doesn't come on until mass flow sensor detects air flowing. The engine must crank to turn on fuel pump unless you jump the connector to cheat the flow sensor. I am just not sure which connector it is.

I see, haven't paid attention on my Yota, but on my Dodge the pump comes on with the ignition and pressures up the rail. I don't have a factory manual, but I'll look in my Chiltons tomorrow and see if it says anything.

I found it. It is a 2 wire rectangular connector by the power steering reservior. With the key ON, there is +12v on 1 and the other is ground. Short them together and you can hear the fuel pump turn ON.

Cool, I found it in the manual as well. Lemme know if you need to know what I found.
