i just bought a motor for my 92 toy 4wd. it was made after 5/92 and had the 3vze motor in it. i bought a motor from the salvage yard they said came out of a 93 4runner and it is a 3vzfe and has 4 camshafts in it. im getting ready to pull out my motor right now, i have also noticed different intakes. does anybody know if im going to have any problems or is this a direct fit, and do i have to change intakes also. any comments would be appreciated. il check back in a few hours when i get my old motor out. thanks

Check with the guys over at www.yotatech.com and I bet someone will give you a quick answer, buncha peeps with 4Runners and trucks their with vast amounts of knowledge. Hope this helps.

If it has four camshafts, it is not a 3VZE, they are all SOHC engines (2 cams). You sure it isn't a 5VZE from a 95+ Tacoma or 4Runner?

i know my truck had the 3vze in it and the salvage yard sold me the 3vzfe with four camshafts. he said it came out of a 93 4 runner. thanks for the reply

He lied. 3VZ-FE's only came in FWD Camrys.
