A43D transmission rear output shaft seal

what gives ? i put in a new rear output seal on this trans in this damn truck and it still is pouring trans fluid out!

i got the seal from auto zone it is timken 3459-S

the original seal had a flat felt wahser and metal ring deal that was on first and then the seal was pressed in, well cant use the felt washer deal with the new seal

there is no excuse why this should be leaking now,

what gives ?

if this cant fix then truck is going ot scrap im tired of stupid crap going wrong with it,

i need ot find another chevy, at least chevy trannies dont leak like these damn jap ones do

^hehe, my chevy trans leaks like a seive. Are you sure that's a good part number? They didn't screw up and give you the wrong part? Was it a nice tight seal when you put it on? Is the output shaft bushing wiped out? Did it leak instantly, or after a couple of days? I've only dealt with manual trannies on these, so I don't know for sure what the set up is like.
