3vze question

hi everyone, im still not having any luck finding a reasonably priced 3.0 for my truck. i was wanting to know if i could use a camry engine if i replaced the intake and heads. what is different between the earlier 3.0s and the later 3.0s. because they always ask if it was made after 5/92. if i still cant find an engine can i use a 22re engine if i replace the transmission also? my truck is a 92 extended cab 4wd automatic. i dont care about power, just dependability. thanks everyone---this is an awesome forum, keep up the good work
