timing cover removal
Hi I'm a newbie. My truck has a 22r engine and I wanna know if I can remove the timing chain cover or front cover without removing the head and or oil pan. I know there is a bolt under the valve cover that needs to be removed, but I only want to replace the gaskets behind the cover due to a severe oil leak. I've already replaced the oil pump gaskets and the leak is not there, my fluids are fine and the leak is gushing from behind and above the alternator adjustment bracket bolt, the one that secures the dipstick. Please offer your help and advice.
