Anyone know how to remove the rear brake drum on 2001 Tacoma?

Remove your wheels and give the drum a few good whacks with a hammer all around and you should be able to just pull it off.

If your drums dont come off easily,or the whack-off method stated in the above article, look for two bolt holes in the brake drum.these are there so that bolts can be put in and tightened evenly, thereby removing the drum unit.maybe try this before the hammer thing.

Did you get the e-brake unstuck? If not, you could always undo the two bolts that attach the e-brake bellcrank to the backing plate. This will allow the e-brake to release and may free up the drums. Catch here is that you will then have to fix the e-brake issues before you can put it all back together again. If Tacomas are anything like the older trucks, it usually requires the disassembly of the bellcrank and cleaning out the rust, lubing it up and reassembling.
