Exclamation check engine light/sensor in front of cat

hey guys, was driving along in my 92 4-cyl pickup and the check engine light came on. car runs great, has 129k. a few minutes later, while accelerating, my exhaust got really loud... to make a long story short, i got home and checked things out and there's a sensor probe thing that goes into the top of the exhaust right ahead of the cat that came out. i found the right nuts and put it back on, but my check engine light is still on. is there a way to check codes or reset the computer to make it go off? or is it completely unrelated to the probe?? thanks

you can either pull the EFI fuse to kill power to the ECU, or just disconnect the battery. either way, after killing the power wait about 30 seconds then reconnect. the ECU will have been reset.
