I replaced a front fender on my daughter's '87 a few years ago. It is a simple job. Just a few bolts.

get a ratchet with a 10 millimeter on an extention. open the hood.theres 4 bolts there, one on the inside when you open the door, above the hinge, two on the bottom of the fender in the lower corner, andtwo under the sidemarker lamp, which comes out with phillips screws. its good to leave the plastic liner attached if possible, there should be three or four pointy bolts inside the fender liner, that attach this to the truck.installation is basically the same, but remember to leave enough gap between the door and fender, so that when you open the door,it doesnt bend the fender.
