Question Engine hesitation

I have a 2000 Toyota 4Runner (3.4 V6) with 110,000 miles on it.. I will say that I have neglected some of the major maintenances (tune up, etc.) , but keep up with the minor ones (oil changes, etc.)..

The other day I had trouble starting my engine.. It cranked after about 4 tries, but it had never done that before.. I had a tune up done on it and a fuel system cleaning as well.. Now the engine starts fine, but the it hesitates at my initial pushing of the accelerator and then takes off (stronger than I'm pushing on the pedal) a second later..

Any ideas what might be causing this?

Check for a clogged fuel filter or loose vacuum lines. By 110K miles on it, it's about time to change out the fuel filter and maybe run some fuel injector cleaner in 2 consecutive tanks to make sure that crud is a gone.

Thanks for the info! I'm not sure if they changed out the fuel filter or not, but I'll check into it..
