Headgasket job, now MAS is bad..why?
91 22re pickup, had a really bad headgasket truck ran before, it was driven onto a trailer and into a garage with little problems...did the headgasket, and now it throws a CEL for a maf signal. code 31...we're not sure if it threw a code before hand but it ran fine...now it starts..idles...then dies shortly thereafter. ill pull a mas from a junkyard but...any ideas as to why it? tried resetting ecu..still shows. also in my manual it says code 31 - airflow signal (vacuum signal) and also code 32 - airflow signal .... what does the vacuum signal refer to? whats the difference between the two codes? but i got a 31.
