factory alarm problems

I have a 1995 4Runner SR5 . Yesterday the battery went dead , I tried to crank on it and the factory alarm activated i guess . It will not start or crank and all it does is flash the inside lights and running lights for about 2 minutes as soon as the door opens . I replaced the battery , I even let it sit for several hours thinking it would reset itself but it still does it . How can I bypass this stupid thing ? I do not have the keypads for the factory alarm either .

Need help a.s.a.p.

Mike

Hey there fellow SA'er. Now let me get this right. You have a factory installed alarm but no keypads? Does that mean that you never set the alarm. I'd say that if that is the case, you may be in deep dodo.
One thing that you can try is to hot wire it to start it. If you follow the other threads, you can see my 86 4runner is wire to a starter switch. Turn your ignition switch to ON and run a wire from starter solenoid. Touch other end of wire to battery '+' and truck should start.
The alarm should just be a starter kill and this should bypass it. However, once you get it started the problem will still be there and you'll have to take it to an alarm place or the dealer to get it fixed.
Or...................Tear it apart and remove the alarm altogether. I had a K9 alarm system installed and thought it was causing problems. Came out pretty easy .
