Thermostat Install

Hey guys im new to the forums and im wondering how to install a new thermostat in my 1988 4cyl EFI Pickup. The old ones broken. thankx for ur input!

When you say 'broken', do you mean stuck open or stuck closed? Or are you talking temperature sensor.
If it's the thermostat, the upper radiator hose connects to the thermostat housing. Undo the hose and the 2 bolts to the housing. Remove the thermostat and install a new one with a new gasket. DON'T do it with the engine HOT.

it seems easy when you say it but when i look at it theres a jumble of tubes thatg are in the way and im scared of dissconnecting one of them

Take them off 1 at a time and use numbered tape or colored tape or something like that to mark the hose and where it came from. It really is an easy job, if you don't break the bolts. Put some penetrating oil on the bolts before removing and don't over tighten when reinstalling.
If you do get lost on the hoses, repost and we'll get you back together.
