Blue Gauges

I have an 88 EFI and I want to change the color of my gauges from the stock green to blue. Ive already taken apart the dash and found the two bulbs that light the spedometer. They had green gel caps over them. I took them off and bought blue bulbs(which dont shine blue arrgh!) But there is also a green filter over the whole gauge panel. I was wondering if anyone had sanded this filter away or just bought blue gell capse and that worked thanx for the feedback!

on the newer trucks its only the bulb condoms we have to worry about... i changed my dash lights awhile ago... (they are orange from the factory)

do not use any LED bulb as they dont provide the correct lighting for the dash... sanding the green "film" or whatever you want to call it will solve your problem.. just dont sand too much
