what the deal?

hi everyone.

ive wanted a toyota truck since i was eighteen
sspecifically, an early nineties 4x4 v6 extended cab (blue),
so i found a nice one online for six grand ->
http://www.craigslist.org/sby/car/48825101.html

then... i found a " tacoma" for just about the same price
i dont know what to do.
do the early tacos suck, or are the fifth generations that great???

wtf do i do?

mike

For one thing the 3.0 had problems with head gaskets, and you can supercharge the 3.4. But both would be an excellent choice. I'd go for the tacoma though.

I like everything about the Tacomas except the very lame coil spring suspension. I personally like firm rides like the torsion bars of the 89-95 trucks. But all things considered the Tacoma is a better bang for the buck. Beware of the rear leaf spring problems in Tacomas. Also just recently became aware of a problem on the crankshaft/pulley key shearing apart on the 3.4's.
