86 toyota 4-runner performance mods

What is the best performance mods for the buck for the 22re motor. I know this isn't a race car but is there anyway to get somemore torque out of the slow beasts?? I've heard of the cam being the biggest difference. Just wondering what all the hard core yota fans do to make them a little more aggresive.

I have a TRD stage 2 cam in mine in addition to .020 overbored pistons, Accel hi-output coil, 2 1/4" exhaust and a custom intake. I'm not sure what the real world increase in HP is but the seat of the pants feel and increased fuel economy is very evident. Only downside I've found is that it burns thru distributor rotors pretty fast but I do average over 21 mpg and I carry a lot of tools in it every day (about 300+ pounds worth).
