Canada Ride height in rear

Hey everyone. I have a '00 tacoma 4x4 and I'm wondering why my truck sits higher in the rear, than in the front.

I know there are a couple of possibilities including weak front struts or leaf spring addition in the rear.

Does anyone know the # of factory leaf springs in the rear, of how I can tell if enhancements/helpers have been added.

I know I have stretched the OE suspension to the max, and I find the truck very unstable in uneven terrain. It has the tendancy to pop a rear tire off the ground in uneven terrain.

Any info. would be muchly appreciated.

Thanx

Well generally the rear end of trucks sit slightly higher then the front end due to the weight distrabution(can't spell) of the engine in the front and "nothing" in the bed of the truck. How much higher is the rear end from the front?

It's common in all Tacos. It should sit about 1.5 inches higher in the back than in the front and is because what MILAEVO stated earlier.

Thanks guys. Mine has a noticable height difference in the rear, as compared to the front. The first time I had taken notice to it was on the dealer lot, when I parked alongside a used '00 4x4.
It's more like a 2.5-3" difference, than 1.5".

I am thinking about an aftermarket set of springs, since I off-road every chance I get. I am not worried about payload since I carry my snowmobile, etc. on a trailer. Any suggestions to a best buy on good aftermarket springs to take the stiffness out of my truck?

OME (Old Man Emu) are nice but pricey springs, but they will sag over time, maybe in a few years.
