Rear crankshaft oil seal
Hi. So I return to the Toyota fold, after a couple of years in the world of the Jeep.
Welcoming me back is a '90 pickup with the 3.0, which was too good of a deal to pass up on. BUT, there is a huge, really huge, oil leak at the rear of the engine. I expect that it is the crankshaft seal, but having never seen a leak like this, I can't say for sure.
Can anyone tell me what it would look like, and how big of a deal it is to replace? (I do have a manual, but unfortunately, just a Haynes)
I would welcome any information before I try to tackle this. Thanks.
