86 22r no fuel no start problem

Truck started to not crank after sitting so I checked the spark it was good. So it had to be fuel. when I primed carb (pour fuel into it) it fired up. I figured fuel pump was bad so I replace it. The problem is still occuring. when truck sits say for over night all fuel is gone out of carb and won't pick up gas when trying to crank it. I have to prime carb to restart. after it cranks it runs fine. any ideas

Hi, I just bought an 86 with the 22R. Seems very basic to me. I would guess that the fuel is draining as it sits. Possibly you have a leaky gasline. Just a suggestion but I would check that out. Good Luck and please let us know when you find out. I may need the answer some day too!
