3" tacoma dcab lift

Hello,

New to site today and had a question. im looking at a 2.5"-3" lift for my dcab 01' taco and wondered if anyone had experience with the cornfed suspension lift verses other ones. specifically if there is an advantage to block or add a leaf rear lifts any help would be appreciated

For the rear add a leaf should be the only acceptable way to go. If you use blocks you will start to get axle hop which sucks, so stick with the leaf and you be ok.

i can attest, I have blocks all around and axle wrap is a bitch. I'm about to do the AAL in conjunction with torque traction arms to get rid of the problem.

go to www.toyteclifts.com... they sell a 3" suspension lift with spacers in the front and add-a-leaf in rear for under $200 shipped.

I am thinking about a lift on my 01 xcab. While looking at the site i saw all the lifts but did not understand how the back was lifted. On the deluxe they have spacers in the front and aal in the back with different shocks. It says the aal will give .5-1" lift but how do you get the rest to match the front. Do the shocks raise it also? any answers would help me. Thanks

toytec just changed their lift packages... when i bought mine in november of last year, they only sold me the 3" front spacers, 2.5" aal for the rear, diff drop down, and brake proportioning valve. I still have the stock shocks on the truck. The front lift does match the back lift with that setup even though the front spacers are 3" and the rear aal is supposedly 2.5". If you installed new, longer shocks that should compensate for the aal being a little less.
