Wink First time Toyota Truck owner.

The truck is a 1989 4wd v6 standard cab long bed 5spd with approximately 180,xxx miles. Just bought the truck about a month ago and have a couple questions. 1. Any guestimates on how much installing A/C in my truck will run? 2. Anything I need to be aware of or cautious of with my truck? Thanks in advance.

A little help here. Even general estimates will help and where I can go to get estimates, besides the dealer.

Don't know much about early model Yota trucks, you should try asking the guys over at yotatch.com and customtacos.com and they should be able to help ya out there, good luck!

I too am pretty new to toy trucks, recently bought a 1980 4x4 20R. I have found many answers at the 4x4wire forum for toy trucks http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/postli...t=&Board=UBB11

Thank you guys both, I'll make sure it doesn't over heat. I'm pretty particular with keeping an eye on temp gauge on both my auto's. I am think of getting the radiator serviced before I get anA/C installed (Jan or Feb 05), this should re-assure me the cooling system is in good working order.

I just wanna say congrats. I drove an 85 toyota pickup from 1995 to 2002 and I loved that thing. It wasn't flashy but I always knew it would start when I got inside :P

Actually that mofo still runs, not well, but it runs. It's got close to 300,000 on it (same engine). I paid 1 grand for it and it's one of the best investments I've ever made. Take good care of that thing! It's a classic.

Thanks Winters, I'm hoping to drive my 89 forever so I can keep the Type R in the garage (keeping the miles low) hopefully after we buy our next home in 2005, I'll step up with the Big Boys and get a Sequoia, once again it should stay in the garage and I will just drive the 89 everywhere.
