power steering conversion

i saw a power steering assembly at the junk yard for my truck that said complete conversion. i have rack and pinion steering now but i found the pump hoses and pulleys at 1 yard for 30 bux and the box at another for 45 bux my question is do i need a different crank pulley cuz i have a/c now and there arent any grooves left in the crank pulley for another belt. i was thinking maby it goes off the alternator belt . i dont know but i know i need the brackets for the pump but do i need to change out the steering shaft too? if anybody has done this conversion from armstrong steering and has info give me a shout cuz my girlfriend does not like to drive the truck and its the only one i have for her to get to work. i tell her to buck up but then i hear bitching so i have come to the conclusion i gotta do it but i hope its not as much of a bitch as it is hearing her bitch. t.i.a.

ps its a 94 22re pickup with a/c
