new bed

There has been much talk of truck beds. Does anyone know where a person could get a new bed for a 76 toyota? How old of a bed can you buy from toyota?

Also, I have a 2004 2.7L auto prerunner. Can I safely pull a 16 ft utility trailer everyone in a while? Are the hitches that are adjustable (with bolts) as good as the made for each vehicl(all welded) hitches?

The box for your 76 will probably have to be replaced buy an aftermarket co. (I will ck when I get to work). The hitch should be fine as long as its installed correctly and tight. 16 foot util should pose no problems I tow a 16 foot fiberglass boat with my truck. I wouldnt want to tow it cross country with it. but I go 30 mile 1 way to the lake no problems

If you shop carefully, you can find a good hitch on the web. I found an excellent welded hitch for my wife's truck on JC Whitney's website for about $100. Installation was a snap.

Thanks for looking. The bed on my 76 is great, my dads is not so great. I wish I knew how to post pics on here. Does that mean that you can get new Toyota parts for a 1980? A NEW bed?
