Question help

1990 4Runner, V6 4x4 My speedometer, odometer and trip odometer stopped working, all gears in automatic still work including O/D but the O/D light on the dash flashes about every 3-4 seconds. When the O/D is turned off, the light stops flashing and stays on. What's wrong? Thank you very much!!!!

Exact thing happened to my '89 truck and it turned out to be the speedometer cable. It broke. The new speedo cable cost me around $60 shipped from www.1sttoyotaparts.com and took me around 1 1/2 hours to replace it.
