Question No heat!!

Hello all I have a 1995 tacoma with bearly any heat. I tryed and replaced the theromstat,Flushed out the heater core and radiator but with still no luck. The hoses dont even feel like the are getting hot enough. I dont over heat and the temp gague stays right in the middle. My engine Idle stays around 1200rpms and once and a while it will drop to a 600rmp and it seems like i get heat. Are the throttle body set up to come down on ilde on water temp? Thank for any help you might have...Its verry cold in that truck with winter here

Did you check to see if your dash levers are working properly? Do you have enough coolant in the system? It sounds as though the valve to let the coolant circulate through the heater core is not opening.

Yes the fluid level is full and i took the vavle right out of the system and put a connector in its place to see if that was my problem also but still n.g.
This will be 2nd winter with this truck and if I dont get heat soon this sh*$ box will be for sale.

If the hoses are not getting hot, you could be running too cool a thermostat. Maybe you need a 195 degree? You have me bumfuzzled. You only really need a hot coolant flow through your heater core for heat. If you have coolant flow, then it is just not hot enough. I am guessing you are driving the vehicle far enough for it to warm up. Is all your piping like it came from the factory? I rebuilt an engine once and got the plumbing backwards and it wouldn't heat of course.

Don't you all just love this time of year?

Check these 2 things:

1: The valve at the firewall to the heater core. Make sure when you move the Cold/hot selecter/slider to hot the valve opens.

2: The heater core air bypass door. There is a door in the HVAC box that blocks air from flowing over the heater core when the Cold/Hot selector is on cold if it stays closed then the air doesn't flow through it but bypasses it.

I've covered heater troubleshooting in other posts you might do a search on "climate control".

I know that the valve is working properly and I even removed it to dubble check while it was off,Ill have to take a look at what I would call a blend door set up in the hvac box.
I am sooooo stumped this is a easy fix but im just over looking something,Radiator gets 195deg with a sig/sat thermoter. I did follow the hoses and it did tee off to some kind of vacuum pod that goes over to what it looks like a chock set up to take it off high idle when it get warm. Also the truck stays on high idle alot ..1995 toyota... Thanks for all your help. I workk on Fords and chevys all day so this what i call jap crap is new but all in all they all have the same theory..
