if you have emissions weber might not be the best choice but if no emissions get a weber it is a great carb. if you know how to jet a carb you might be able to get the weber passed the emissions tests.

May I suggest you stick with the stock Aisin carb? You do live in a part of the USA that experiences enough severe weather to seriously delay getting to work on time (and other major headaches) If yor truck is your daily driver, the stock set-up is more reliable. To me THAT is performance! If you have already have a cam and exhaust, then you may be a candidate for a weber, otherwise a fresh rebuild with a FACTORY TOYOTA rebuild kit may be all that is needed.

I happen to be a big fan of Aisin carbs as the twenty year old carb i have on my 1984 Toy 4x4 has never needed a rebuild. This is even after sitting dry for one year, using gov't mandated "gas-ahol", and required to pass California Smog check every two years.
