This coming spring i plan to re paint my 92' pickup with the original color ( exterior paint surfaces have faded with age, so im repainting the exterior paint surfaces with the orig. color). I plan on doing a professional-like job. (i hope, because it'll be my first time, but i have my grandpa's spray equipment, knowledge and building available.) The only thing left that i need to confirm is how to get my bed off. I will be painting it separately than the cab so i can get down behind the cab well. I see that there are 6 bolts that hold it on. Im guessing they used a longer bolt when they installed the 3' body lift. My questions are,.. is it only those 6 mounts that hold it on, will I be able to get an adjustable wrench inside the upper mount, because it looks like it'll be a tight fit, should i brace it before i take it off? ( i will just unmount it, take off the gas cap hose to the tank, and use 4 people to move it onto saw horses for prep and paint.) I just want to be well educated in this so it comes off without any probs. Any other tips, or past experiences will be appreciated.
Thanks,
-Adam-
