Remote Car Starter

Purchased a 2004 Toyota Highlander Limited Edition in May of this year. Made an appointment to have a Viper 130XV Remote Start System installed this weekend. A little nervous about this now, since friends have said the install will invalidate my Manufacturer's Warranty on the vehicle. Also, a little worried about the whole dash being taken apart and my valet key being installed directly into the system.

Anyone have this system on similar vehicle? If so, how did the install go? Are you happy with the Viper system. Maybe you can share some features of this particular system. Thanks.

They have modules that make it so you don't have to have your valet key installed. It will only void your warranty if it is related to the component that fails. I.e. if you have a bad piston ring or valve, etc. You won't be out of luck because you have an aftermarket alarm/starter in your car.

This should be posted in the audio/security forum.
