Canada Inline Six Pickup Engine

Hey, I thought this would be a good forum to ask this question for all you Toyota a holics like me I'm looking to get a Toyota pickup between 91-95 and recently came accross one with an inline six engine it in. As far as I know Toyota pickups didn't ship with an inline six in them but the dealer says it's the stock engine. Does anyone know if some of the trucks did come with them (and I have seen a few others) Are they good reliable engines? Is there somewhere that I can find more info on them. The truck i'm looking at has 260 K and he wants $7,500. Thanks for any replies.

Maybe he did a 7mge or 2jzge swap. They came with inline 4cyl's or a 3.0 v6. 3.4 v6 for the later years. Do you have a picture or link to this truck?

Here's the add, https://safe.buysell.com/moreinfo/mo...?a_id=31876610 Doesn't say a whole lot about the engine.

It's probably the original 3.0 v6, not inline 6. If it was an inling six there would be more info on it. Probably just a typo. I wouldn't pay anywhere near that much for it.

Not sure about the engine? prolly a typo, as far as I know it was a 3.0L V6, but not sure. does seem a bit pricey not to bad though prolly closer to $6000-6500 would be right but I also see that includes a 1 year warranty which would prolly explain the 7500 so if it is a decent warranty prog. it would be worth the 7500

I've seen a number of these pickups for sale with a straight six in these years as well as some 96 Tacoma's like in this add http://www.buysell.com/moreinfo/more...?a_id=28652946 As far as what i've come across this isn't a factory option, who knows...

I'm sure its a V6. Just pop the hood and have a looky. For a truck Toyota would probably put the V6 like this:

1 2

3 4

5 6

Inline 6 would be:

1
2
3
4
5
6

Just curious, because i see that vehicles sold in that link have odometers bases on kilometers, rather than miles,so im wondering if the 7,500 figure is based on dollars or foreign currency, whoes values might be unfamiliar to alot of us in the forum.

I don't know if it's a fad or not but here's another one http://www.buysell.com/moreinfo/more...?a_id=32780683 Toyota must have some inline engine going on somewhere.
