turbo timer wiring assistance
I have an 86 Toyota SR5 4WD Pickup with the Turbo'd 22R TEC motor. I purchased an HKS Type 1 Turbo Timer to help cool my turbo down after use, but I need some help with wiring it into the ECU. I have a manual on the truck and the installation instructions from HKS, but both of them are very vague in wiring the unit. The HKS Turbo Timer has four wires that require connectivity, one is a ground, one is for the emergency brake wire, one for the speed sensor and one for the RPM signal. My Timer has an auto mode that can automatically calculate the amount of time the motor needs to run to cool the oil for the turbo, assuming it is wired correctly.
Anyway, I need assistance in identifying the rpm signal wire at the ECU. I think I have located the speed sensor wire but assistance in this area would be appreciated, as well.
Thanks
