Question 1987 Toyota truck alternator info needed

Can anyone tell me how hard it is to change an alternator on a 1987 Toyota truck? It's an automatic, basic 2wd truck. I think the motor is a 22R. Also, if it's not difficult, can anyone tell me what tools I will need so that I will be sure to bring everything I need. Any helpful information would be appreciated. Thanks.

On a scale of 1 to 10 it rates about a 1.5. A set of meteric combination wrenches and/or a 3/8" drive socket set will do you. If you have never attempted this before, a little homework studying a good shop manual will save you from a lot of needless frustration. Armed with a good understanding of what needs to be done, you can make the swap in less than 30 minutes. Good luck.

Its one of the most painless things to do. I almost had my girlfriend do it as a learning experience. You shouldnt have any problems.
