guage lights not working

I have a 1990 toyota pickup ex cab automatic with the ecu and the other day i was connecting the speaker underneath the driver side dash and when i was finished my guage lights were no longer working and no i didnt bump the dimmer switch. is anyone familier with this and may know whats wrong with it.

could be a bulb or loose connection on the cluster get a volt meter and trace it. the cluster comes out with a few screws and clips.

Do the lights work for the heater control? If they don't, and your dash lights don't work, then it could be something wrong with the dimmer switch...maybe a bad connection or something.

I know this happened with my truck when I unplugged the dimmer switch.

fuse? maby you accidentaly unplugged the wire to the fuse box

Did you unplug the wires going to the dimmer switch?
