3.0 22re lopes until warm -then overheats

Hey, I just replaced the water pump, thermo, and yep, the radiator, same problem. Also, she blows very cold air! Especially up here in Montreal. Upper coolant hose gets warm while the bottom one is colder than a nun's you know what. Do I have a clog somewhere? Why does it idle up and down like that everytime I start'er in the cold? Any suggestions would be much appreciated! I can't afford to blow a head gasket due to this! 1989 3.0 22re 4Runner

i have the same problem found out for some reason it blew out the head gaskt agian.

The heater might be jam and the cooling fluid cant circulate freely

Ditto on that SMOKE...... Is this a V6, 3.0l or the 4cyl, 22RE?
