Unhappy tacoma HAZY HEADLIGHTS

I have a 01' taco dcab and the headlights seem to be getting a little hazy. wondered if anyone had a solution for this. I've seen various kits on the net but wanted some feedback from someone experienced. I have wondered if the haziness is accelerated by the DRL's. I know that over time the elements will do this but this seems pretty premature!

I believe Meguiars makes some solution in a bottle that is supposed to clear your hazy eyes. I also heard white toothpaste but never tried it.

I've used 3M rubbing compound. It's for fine scratches and swirl marks. Works pretty good. I follow it up with a good coat of wax to help protect them.
