Question clunking 4wheel drive yota

I got myself a 91 Toyota 4x4. Its got a 22R with 40k miles on rebuilt and a rebuilt 5 speed tranny. I just bought it from my parents who bought it from some guy who poured quit a bit of money into it. Says it was a strictly on-road truck. Anyways, we're having heavy snow here and I haven't had to use the 4x4 much. Maybe a little here and there. Everything sounded good at first. Now there is a whumping noise coming from somewhere in the front end. It almost feels more to the right of the vehicle. A clank clank clank noise. Only does it under power. Drive then coast and there is nothing. I see they have IFS or something to that effect. I really hope it isnt the transfer case. It does it in both high and low. Funny thing is the guy has receits for the front end being checked out. I checked the driveline for u-joint slop and ther seemed to be none. I tried to shake the drive shafts back and forth and there isn't really any play in them. Could this be a bad hub? ANy ideas?

Arrow symptom

Yeah, I had a 73 Chevy K20 and the same type of symptom happened when one of my hubs were bad. I am guessing I shouldn't drive in 4wheel at all correct?
