How big of a lift?

how big of a lift do i need to fit 33" - 35" tires onto a tacoma?

for 33x12.5 on some 15x10 rims, atleast 5" unless your going with skinny tires/rims or dont mind constant rubbing

Had 33"x12.5" tires on 15" rims on my 1988 Toyota pickup- had a 4" lift. No rubs, no problems. Here is a picture of it.


My 1988 Toyota:4x4, 3.0L v6

were the rims 15x8 or 15x10? cause im pretty sure with 4" you can fit 33's with skinny rims like 15x8. but i think tacomas usually need a little more lift to clear the 33's than the older trucks did. i could be wrong, this is just what ive heard

Drop back to a 31x10.50 and you shouldn't need any lift. Boss had this setup on his 92&97 and rarely ever stuck it in the georgia swamps. They look good, fill the wheelwell and don't burn as much fuel.
