99 Toyota TRd,4x4,v6,auto how much dang fluid to drain and refill?

My Haynes manual states 2.1 for the v6 and 4 for the 4cyl????? I looked at the build deal in the drivers side door jamb is says cold ply 215 tires what the frick all TRDs have 31s? Needless to say i dont trust the fact it says i have the A auto tranny. My trucks loaded 4x4 model. I put 2.1 like the manual says and forgot about it hope its ok or should i search for an Attorney to sue them. I have the facotory trans cooler. Then i ask the dealer and all he can tell me is they flush 10 quarts in there ?? You have to be kidding

The flushing and the drain and refill are two different things. The flushing changes the entire system where the the drain and refill just gets what's in the pans!!

I would recommend using correct fluid, and adding enough untill, when the engine is running in park, and vehicle is parked on level ground, the trans dipstick says there is the correct amount in the system. At that point,(if it were me),Id put my foot on the brake, put the rig in reverse, then drive, for say,30 sec.,then recheck the level, drive around the block once, and re-check a third time.Trust the dipstick.
