May want to get a jeep dude seriously i just purchased a Harbor Frieght 8000 winch for $250 in store special. For the money its hard to beat all the specs on the site are wrong its 4.5hp motor, 3/8 100ft cable. I did order the $39 jeep winch mount for my tj wrangler. The winch is very similar to Milemarker,Ramsey 8000e go to jeepspeak.com and you will find a nice install.

To 98wrangler:

T-Bird probably wants the winch to pull out his buddies with stuck Jeeps. Why would he want to make matters worse?

Jeep tj wranglers are hard to beat if you want an offroad vehicle friend has a 87 thats better offroad than my wrangler. Hes got 512 gears,4to1 transfer, trd rear end,37 inch tires. He went up a big dirt hill my open diff tj could not with 33s. Other than that rig none can compete with a tj sittn on 33s with a teraflex lift sorry u cant its a fact. I also own a 99 tacoma trd its a great offroad truck but no tj.

Hey, if you post pro-Jeep stuff like that on a Toyota newsgroup you have to expect a little razzing!

I'm not hot on TJ's, too short of a wheelbase. But you are right, they are fine 4x4's. You'll just have to forgive me for being far too fond of my 4Runner to even consider switching. Besides, 30 mpg in my 4Runner is far more attractive than 18 mpg or lower. Face it, Dodge engines are not noted for being fuel efficient.....And my 4x4 is a daily driver!
