Still have engine code 171 after cleaning MAF

My MAF looked different than the one being cleaned on the link provided in my search. Looked like three metal wider thingys connected not 2 wires.

How did you clean it? Hope you didn't use a Q-Tip to clean it. Did you use electrical contact cleaner that is also safe for plastics? Just spray the wires down librally with the contact cleaner and let dry and DO NOT use a Q-Tip or any other device to clean it as it may damage the MAF sensor. As a last resort after the cleaning, you can reset the ECU by pulling the SMALL E.F.I. fuse in the fuse box. Remember, it's the smaller 15 amp one and not the larger square black one. Pull it off for a couple minutes and you should be good to go!
