88Toyota 22RE 5Spd Shifter Noise

Yes I have an 88 toyota truck w/ a 5spd. And I drive to work and hour everyday to an asphalt plant so I use the heck out of my 5th gear. I have been noticing that when I am going up the interstate if I turn my radio down it sounds like in 3rd there is a light noise at the bottom of the shifter and in 5th gear it is a little louder like something is riding dry against the gears but I just filled it up w/ 80/90 synthetic we use at the plant. But it made no difference. Ive asked a cpl other ppl wether there trucks make the same noise and it doesnt. Does it sound like something to be worried about? If you could please let me know I cant really afoard to lose a transmission right now im trying to get a house.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated I know all about most except trannys.
I have a spare transfer case for and 83 toyota truck and whatever else it might fit.

Is it a whining noise?, mine does that in 1st, 3rd, and 5th. These 5 speed trannys are pretty tough, usually outlasting the motors and frames.

yeah it is a whining noise louder in 5th gear rather than the others but it is still annoying. I wish i could stop it. my tranny has 239000 miles on it I have already rebuilt the motor at 214000 so i dont know
