Post 1999 4 Runner O2 Sensors....

Hello, I'm in desparate need of a place to get all the O2 Sensors for my 1999 4Runner (non 4x4, Automatic) at a low cost but reilable brand. I was told that California made 4Runners have a different type of O2 Sensor party type so they're different. Can somebody confirm that?

Also a HOW-TO would be great on how to change it. TIA.

I just replaced the O2 sensor on my T100 with one from automedicsupply.com. They listed a couple of different brands for mine. There are two basic types. One is a plug-in replacement. The other, less expensive, uses the existing connector and wires. You clip them off and crimp the new sensor on. Their prices were better than all the others I found. The selection process asks your vehicle type to ensure you get the right part.

Replacement is easy. The hard part was disconnecting the connector in the harness. My guess is that yours are the flange type. Two nuts on each to take off. If they are too tight, hit them with PB Blaster and wait a bit. Remove the old one and gasket and put on the new one and the supplied gasket. Tighten the nuts and you are done.
