Post 22r exhaust help

I have an 89 truck 2wd with 22r 2bbl. The exhaust behind the exhaust manifold is shot, cat and all. Need info. on where to get a new system, with eye to upgrading to a header in the future. Of course I would like to keep it affordable.

I have seen on trucks my generation (84-88) on the Exhaust system the section between the cat and the muffer(most of the time around the cab & bed) rust away. I'm pretty sure your experiencing the same thing. When it happen on my Truck I brought it to the muffler shop I had them replace the pipe from the cat back and put a 2 Camber Flowmaster with 2 turndowns right before the axel. My Dad took My Truck to work oneday. He told me when came home my truck was so loud in the Parking Garage he set off three car alarms
