Advice in Modding 3vz-e

Ok, so i have gathered up 1500 to mod my pickup with the 3vz-e.
First i would replace the internal parts (how much will this cost me?)
Then Might get a CAI.
I'm not sure if i'm going for exhaust cause i would need some more money.
Could i get this truck to get about the same power as the 5vzfe? or should i spend time getting a 5vzfe and mod everything?

You will never get the 3VZE to perform like the 5VZE so don't think your going to have a high performance racing machine. Intake hose mod and headers are about the easiest and cheapest way to improve the 3VZE but still leaves alot to be desired!! The intake silencer and exhaust crossover pipe are your easy to fix problems. That why it got the nickname of 3.slo!!
