USA 85 Toyota PU 2WD

I would like to lift my truck 2 to 3 inches. I won't be taking this truck off-road, I just like a higher ride height. I was wondering if anyone knew if there would be any problems if I cranked up the torsion bars to get the 2 to 3 inches? My concern is any adverse suspension geometry issues that would cause problems. I drive this truck daily. Also, any suggestions on the rear lift? I see new leaf springs or add-a-leaf systems. Any pro's and con's to one or the other? Thanks.

Cool What's up

Welcome Satio, You could put a body lift kit that should pick it up a 1/2-1 inch and just tightened the torsion bars for the other inch. ( if you mess with the Torsion Bars you have to get an alighnment).
Since the Axle sits on top of the leaf springs on 2wd's, it is difficult to raise the rear suspension. On my Truck the orginal owner put Lift Shackels in the back . Unfortunately the shackels streached out my Leaf springs . Try to avoid going that route if you can.

This is what I did on my truck. I tighented up my Torsion bars and left on the Lift shackels to put 235-70-14 AllTerrain Tires on my Truck. To me this made the Truck look more agressive compared to the street radials that was on the Truck when I bought it .
